This is an alarming fact. The average American uses about 10,000 sheets, or 700 pounds of paper per year. This sounds like a very high number, but I know I have certainly done my share of printing in the office. Environmental Defense has created some tools to help reduce the environmental impact of paper use in the workplace. They include a paper supplier evaluation form, recycling signs for the workplace, paper use calculator, and a product design tool to help reduce paper used in packaging. Save a tree!
